In 2019, I attended the Connector course, organized by ANPCDEPF, where I discovered many new activities and learning experiences, involving the use of theatre in the teaching process. Here are some of the activities & games that I have used during my English classes. The exercises can be simplified or made more complicated (depending on the English level of the group of students) or just for diversity.

ACTIVATION EXERCISES & IMPROVISATION GAMES
(attention, concentration, coordination):
Tom and Jerry
Everyone stands in a circle. Anyone can start counting from 1. One by one they count up. Numbers divisible by 3 are called Tom, and numbers divisible by 7 are called Jerry. Instead of numbers divisible by 3 and 7, it will be called Tom and Jerry.

	Days of the week
Stage 1: Sit in a circle. The first to start says Monday and claps his hands once. The next one says Tuesday and claps his hands. It continues and when it reaches Sunday, it continues with Mondays and so on.
Stage 2: Anyone, when it's their turn, can knock twice, and then the direction of the circle turns and together with the direction, the days of the week go backwards. Stage 3: Tuesday is replaced by Friday and vice versa.
Stage 4: instead of Sunday you say red, and instead of Wednesday you snap your fingers.

	Guess the sign
They sit in a circle. Someone comes out. The others in the circle choose a leader who will initiate a movement that he/she will do continuously, modifying it along the way. Those in the circle make the movements in the mirror. The one who was outside enters the circle and tries to guess who the leader is. He has three options to guess.

	Improvisation games:

	1. The Expert: An expert is chosen who will give a speech on a topic given by the teacher. Someone else stands behind him holding his hands in front of the expert. He will try to confuse the expert by gesticulating as he pleases. The expert must adapt his speech according to the hands and then continue the idea. The others are reporters at a press conference and ask the expert questions.

	2. The Furniture: Choose a situation. For example: a thief and a policeman in a parking lot. The two improvise until they hear clapping. They freeze, and 6 others (the number of people who are furniture or objects may differ from case to case, a car, the toll booth, a bank, the sidewalk, the curb, the lantern, the grass, etc.) tell or debate the situation among themselves date. At the next clap, the furniture freezes and the characters, the thief and the policeman, continue the improvisation.

	4. The Translator (or Giberish): 4 people are chosen. (A,B,C,D) A and B will improvise on a given theme in a broken foreign language, Chinese, Russian, Italian, etc. C and D are their translators, and they will translate into Romanian what the two say. At first they will be faithful to the dialogue and the situation, then after a few lines of dialogue they have the freedom to translate saying what they want. The order of players is A then C translates, B answers then D translates.

	5. The Television: 5-7 volunteers are chosen and each of them is assigned a television channel: News, weather, sport, discovery, history channel, etc. Whoever has the News starts the game. The teacher has a remote control in his hand and changes the station. The one who follows takes the last words and continues the sentence in the topic of his channel. For example: The News starts, There was an accident on the highway and a convertible car traveling with....the channel changes to Discovery: a convertible car traveling with the famous elephant photographer stopped in the savannah to study their behaviour...
</metadata>

</metadata>
