Direct interaction with elements such as plants, soil, water, stones, or seeds encourages exploration, curiosity, and scientific thinking in an engaging and meaningful way. Outdoor learning supports the development of language, creativity, motor coordination, and a sense of environmental responsibility, while also providing a calm and stimulating sensory environment.
The eTwinning project "Little Gardeners in Nature", founded by Semiha Sarikoc Rizeli - Turkey and Eliza Postelnicu - Grădinița Elena Farago Craiova, Romania  with teachers from Poland, Greece, Bulgaria and Ukraine, promotes early ecological education through hands-on, nature-based activities. Gardening, plant care, and the creative use of natural materials foster a positive attitude toward nature and support experiential learning in a real-world context. The project encourages collaboration, intercultural exchange, and environmental awareness, offering children a rich, sustainable, and joyful learning experience outdoors.
