Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889), poet, prozator, dramaturg şi jurnalist, a fost considerat de critica literară postumă drept cea mai importantă voce poetică din literatura română. Prin evenimentele care au marcat Ziua Culturii Naționale au fost vizate explorarea imaginației și combinarea unei atitudini sobre cu una populară, jucăușă, care să urmărească păstrarea simțului ludic, corespunzător tradițiilor și ritualurilor universale.

Numeroase activități au fost organizate în această zi în Școala Gimnazială Ghelari, județul Hunedoara. Printre activități s-a numărat și continuarea cu o strofă a poeziei  „„Ce-ți doresc eu ție, dulce Românie” scrisă e Mihai Eminescu.

There was an agreement as to the digital citizenship rules that must be respected in the project and a page was set up with free material sources on which students could rely for their work. The most important expected result is the creation of a collaborative online magazine created on Madmagz. Students created texts and other materials about predetermined topics.

The name of the magazine is `Teens for trhe world`. It was suggested by the students and voted on by them.

Romanian students in partnership with the Portuguese students wrote three books about the topic ”Addictions and their impact on the future”.

One of the activities carried out is ”People we are proud of from our countries” and all of the activities are in a book. We formed interenational teams: History team, Literature team, Sports team, Music team, etc. and each team searched for information about the chosen personality.

Other materials can also be created collaboratively by the students from partner schools, so as to complement the magazine.

Besides improving their English and communication skills, students will also improve their digital and collaboration skills, broaden their horizons and consolidate their citizenship, autonomy, creativity and problem-solving skills.

The aims for this project are :
-Creating collaborative materials about predetermined topics;-Improving English and communication skills and digital skills;

-Contacting with different realities and getting to know Europe better;

-Broadening students' horizons and giving them a taste of an international project;

-Developing students' autonomy and creativity;

-Helping students develop their national and European citizenship;

-Implementing an effective teamwork;

-Aiding students in sharpening their problem solving skills.

Peace, tolerance and harmony must characterize us all, and our actions must correspond to the legacy left to us. Our duty is to respect the traditions of our homeland, to be better, more tolerant and confident and permanent support for our people, whose support we are.

This project consists of activities about traditions, customs, language, religious education, literature, clothing, architecture, food in different countries. All of these mean the values of the people in the partnes countries. Values ​​are the basic skills and habits that shape the future of the individual. Learning basic skills starting from preschool also improves socialization and communication skills. We are valued by our values.

In this project we want to recognize and promote the similar values ​​of students who grow up in different cultures. We want to ensure unity by blending the values ​​of justice, friendship, sharing, love, respect for differences and responsibility with cultural activities.

One of the activities carried out in the eTwinning project ”We are Valuable with Values” was about our responsibilities to protect and care about plants and to support and secure our health. We, students from Ghelari Secondary School, Romania,  held an activity and we share it with you in the link bellow. Children took part in educational lessons and activities about photosynthesis, propagation and other science-based learning.

Children like both pets and plants. They need to understand their plant’s requirements for survival and they need to show responsibility and accountability in tending to that plant’s needs. That have to make sure to water their plants weekly, or taking their plant(if it is an indoor plant) outside for the weekends to give it fresh air and a little help from the sunlight, or fertilising it seasonally.  

it’s never too early or too late to encourage children to own and care for plants, so he or she might be motivated to grow vegetables for the family dinner table and take care of their families” health.

The project gives the chance for cultural understanding, citizenship, language development, art, technology and social education, within a context of international and collaborative education. The project aims at activities that develop the eight skills in students.
