Natura trebuie admirata in toate formele sale. In cadrul proiectului LeaF de anul acesta, am analizat, am dezbatut, am propus solutii pentru problemele identificate de noi. La final, am decis sa ne oprim si sa admiram. Asa ca am iesit cu totii in oras si am inceput sa facem poze in care vedeta era natura. Am folosit apoi aceste poze la ora de limba engleza pentru a scrie titluri potrivite, argumentand in limba lui Shakespeare alegerea facuta, exprimand emotiile pe care ni le-a trezi acel instantaneu.

Clasele a IX-a si a XI- a grupa LeaF, de la Liceul de Arte ”Ionel Perlea”, Slobozia, Ialomita au realizat o activitate care a combinat doua zile importante: Ziua internationala a poeziei si Ziua Padurii. Astfel, elevii au compus poezii despre padure si au realizat desene pe tema data. Au fost purtate discutii despre importanta arborilor pentru planeta, despre cum omul este direct responsabil pentru distrugerea unor mari suprafete de padure si despre ce pot face tinerii pentru a ajuta in viitor.

LeaF– Snapshots of nature,-  grupa de intensiv engleză clasa a XI-a, de la Liceul de Arte ”Ionel Perlea”, Slobozia a petrecut o zi în parcul din oraș, plimbându-se pentru a analiza zona, pentru a face observații legate de diverse aspecte care țin de întreținerea parcului și pentru a face poze pentru a documenta aceste observații. Intenția este simplă- observăm, analizăm, facem sugestii și scriem un proiect către reprezentații comunității locale. În timpul acestei plimbări, s-a discutat despre importanța petrecerii timpului liber în natură și  despre faptul ca din ce în ce mai mulți copii și tineri pierd legătura cu natura.

The aim of the project is to increase pupils’ awarness of the need to protect the natural environment as well as encourage them to live eco-friendly. By taking part in the project students will be encouraged to take an active part in ecological actions, they will create their own ecological pieces of artwork as well as widen their vocabulary knowledge concerning ecology and the environment. When participating in the project pupils will also have an opportunity to make friends with their peers from different European countries and develop their ICT skills.

Working steps
1. Let’s introduce ourselves – students introduce themselves via videoconference, voice applications and forum.

2. Environmental vocabulary bank - students create mental maps referring to environmental vocabulary as well as poems using the vocabulary they get. In this way, they will enrich their vocabulary and activate words and expressions they can use in everyday situations.  Using online dicitonaries and classic dictionaries are tools they can use in order to learn new words,and  to identify appropiate contexts for them to be used. 

3. Project logo contest – national teams prepare proposals for the logo of the project; the final result of this activity will be voting for the most interesting logo. They use online tools and programmes that allow them to create an illustrative logo of the project. Using google doc form, the students voted their favourite logo.

4. Photo reporters- observe and report about the environment issues around you- the students find examples of Dos and Donts to illustrate the way man acts upon nature and the things people to do protect it. using Padlet is a way of ensuring that stundets can see what the others have posted , they can comment or react to their posts.

5. Students' ideas for a slogan/motto promoting ecology – students create and vote for the most interesting mottos.
6. Students’ ideas on giving new life to old things – students will exchange their ideas on how to reuse old things and make them the new life (they can reuse plastic bottles, glass jars and present the results to their peers).

7. A Web quest- work in multinational teams conducting interviews, making posters, creating games, showing ways to recycle.
8. Project evaluation.

RESULTS
- ecological pieces of artwork, pedagogical materials to be used in lessons, interactive games concerning ecology and environment, mental maps, posters, a.s.o.

Projects on eTwinning offer the studnets the possibility of learning outside the traditional class and they can discover new skills and aptitudes. Moreover, they learn to work in national and multinaitonal teams, understanding the value of team work and project-based learning.
